Job Details;
Savannah Cement is the newest cement company in the Kenyan market having completed a state – of – the – art Greenfield Cement Grinding Plant in Athi River, Kenya.
The plant employs the latest cement technology in the market to produce 1.5 million tonnes of the various cement products per annum for the Kenyan and regional market.
Savannah Cement is seeking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic and innovative result oriented professionals, seeking a thrilling and fulfilling experience, to join the company in the following position: Marketing Research Analyst
Responsibilities;
Undertakes continuous analysis of consumer, customer and market trends to identify and recommend new business opportunities to Management team.
Develops statistical models to prepare short, mid and long term Sales forecasts to guide the planning process.
Assists the Marketing Manager in development of competitive business scenarios and price planning/ simulation.
Contributes to the development of explanatory and predictive relational models of brand/segment/market performance dynamics to assist in commercial decision making.
Maintains a competitor analysis network and supporting information system to enable scenario modeling.
Selects and effectively manages external suppliers (e.g. market research agencies) to deliver the highest level of quality and cost efficiency, actionable research through delivery of sound research methodology while meeting critical deadlines.
Provides the company sales & marketing staff with appropriate training in the effective use and understanding of marketing research information; and
Proactively identifies opportunities for business performance improvement.
Requirements;
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Statistics, Economics or psychology with Knowledge and experience in Trade Marketing Activities.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing research and information in a leading FMCG company.
Very good ICT knowledge and well versed in specialist statistical analytical packages with in depth knowledge of advanced statistical and forecasting techniques and capable of both building and validating relational models.
Experience in interpreting and analysing marketing information data and reading trends and presentation and communication of findings; and
A high level understanding of the products, customer base, market place and the manufacturing system.
A high level of integrity, excellent conceptual, reporting, communication, team relations, analytical, planning and coordination skills.
