Job Title: Senior Audit Assistant

Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya

Requirements:

•Hold Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Management or equivalent and CPA part II or equivalent.
•Should have at least (3) three years of relevant work experience in a large organization or in a busy Audit firm as an Audit Assistant
•Should possess good and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Must be an individual of high integrity, conversant with financial systems and accounting packages.

Duties:

•Ensure conformity with the University’s acceptable standards, plans, budget and schedules by preparing specific audit assignments, plans and programmes for the University.
•Ensure compliance with laid down financial procedures and regulations
•Carry out value for money audit
•Initiate review and regularly update audit policies and systems.
•Undertake prepayment audit for all disbursement transactions
•Auditing the payroll verifying the accuracy of staff emoluments and deductions there from.
•Performing audit tests on the internal controls in accounting, administrative and operational procedures.
•Any other duties assigned by University authorities.
