Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance and direction to project teams in the field on all ICT4D interventions
• Design, implement, maintain, and support appropriate and cost-effective information and communication technologies to facilitate activities such as:
• Use of Android and windows mobile app for field data collection and follow up
• Use of SMS for data collection, appointment recording and follow-up
• Use of SMS for delivery of educational and Behavior Change Communication messages
• Information flow among stakeholders
• Supporting eLearning approaches to disseminate knowledge updates to providers.
• Provide technical input into proposals, concept notes and other business development-related materials
• Work with program staff and Jhpiego Global Programs Office to identify opportunities for ICT4D in program cycle management
• Promote and support innovative ways for dissemination of project information and experience sharing among the project team and regional-based staff
• Liaise with the ICT Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to ICT4D and improve knowledge sharing within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in ICT (Master’s degree in ICT or Public Health would be an added advantage)
• Minimum five (5) years’ field experience providing technical assistance for healthcare-related ICT interventions and implementing ICT4D approaches
• Experience in managing software development or implementation and an understanding of hardware and network architecture
• Skills in Android & Windows Mobile App development
• Excellent skills and experience in use of Java C, C++, Visual Basic, MySQL and SQL, Windows and Linux server platforms
• Up-to-date knowledge of technologies and technology standards and the constraints and benefits of different technologies
• Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills including presentation and facilitation skills.

Job Title: Community Hygiene Water & Sanitation Promotion Engineer

The Water & Habitat Unit carries out various projects in Somalia which include undertaking construction and rehabilitation projects in prisons.
In the frame of its activities, the Somali Delegation in Nairobi is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Somali national or origin to fill the Water and Habitat (Hygiene Promotion) position, based in Somalia (various locations).

Responsibilities
• Project management of urban, rural community programs;
• Provide and facilitate hygiene & community management training as required;
• Participate & supervise in hygiene promotion sessions in rural areas;
• Offering support to the Wathab program management;
• Conduct hygiene promotion in places of detention;
• Assistance in distribution of hygiene materials;
• Education of prison authorities in hygiene practices procedures;
• Implement contracts for ICRC projects and deal directly with contractors on the ground;
• Organize for and provide technical training and support to ICRC staff.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree of Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering and/or Health Education) or related field of work;
• Minimum of 2 years experience in implementing and supervising projects; previous experience as a Health Educator / community mobiliser desirable;
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, any other interactive software like AutoCAD is an asset);
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings;
• Excellent command of English and Somali languages.
Other Requirements
• Experience in humanitarian work;
• Flexibility and willingness to be based in various regions and travel inside Somalia, and ability to work in hardship areas;
• Good report writing and administrative skills, ability to supervise and train staff;
• Experience in supervising construction teams on site;
• Ability to design simple structures, such as small buildings, concrete slabs, etc;
• Maturity in dealing with sensitive matters in a highly confidential manner.

Specific Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will be responsible for:
Project Implementation and Monitoring
Supporting the technical team to develop work plans specific to the laboratory, maternal new born and child health (MNCH), community based services, supply chain and continuous quality improvement components, and monitoring execution of those plans.
Managing the completion of project deliverables under the direction of the Program Director, including keeping the timeline, assigning responsibilities for project tasks, ensuring accountability, receiving reports from project teams, and trouble-shooting to ensure timelines and targets are met as agreed with partners and donors.
Planning and ensuring execution of key programmatic meetings and activities.
Project Resource Management
Ensuring that all project resources are aligned to enable delivery of project goals.
Ensuring that all project procurements and renovations are undertaken within specific timelines.
Developing budgets in conjunction with Program Director and monitoring project burn rates to ensure activities are implemented within timeframe and budget.

Representation and Reporting
Organizing and coordinating representation of the program at relevant meetings with stakeholders, as appropriate.
In conjunction with Program Director, building and maintaining relationships and with a broad range of organizations and individuals working in the field of HIV within Kenya.
Assisting Program Director with convening information, writing and submitting programmatic reports, circulating regular internal briefings to US HQ based staff and management of the technical assistance team.

Key Qualifications and Experience
At least a Masters in a health field such as public health, health policy, planning and management, MBA in Health Management or its equivalent
Experience of at least 5 years in project management
Proven and excellent writing skills
Experience of not less than 3 years working within the formal Kenya health system
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
