Job Description
The National Director (ND) is the official representative and leader of ChildFund International in Kenya. Experienced in child focused programming

Job Description
The Project Officer for the Turkana DRR project shall ensure overall effective and efficient implementation of DRR project activities at the field level. S/he will ensure timely activities implementation and monitoring of the activities as well as the budget. The incumbent will ensure the project is implemented in synergy with ChildFund Kenya, Turkana program. S/he will be responsible for carrying out the planning, implementation and supervision of all the DRR project activities and personnel. The incumbent will be expected to work in collaboration with other partners and personnel on ground from relevant ministries and NGOs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will ensure that the project meets all its objectives as per the approved proposal.
The incumbent will participate, and give oversight for the implementation of the project as per the Detailed Implementation Plan.
S/he will monitor the project budget closely ensuring timely procurements and activities implementation
S/he will also be responsible for highlighting and ensuring any budgetary/activities amendments required are communicated to the Senior Emergency Coordinator on time and ensure that such amendments are undertaken once approval is given.
Will ensure and give supervisory and support for the Pre and Post KAP studies
Ensure participatory approach in all activities implementations.
Working with partners, to ensure that a 24 SMS platform for Disaster Risk awareness is established within the target community
Lead in the development/adoption and implementation of the DRR and CCA curriculum
Ensure and give oversight for the DRR groups/DRRMC trainings
Ensure and give oversight for the VSL groups training and mentoring
Ensure and give oversight to implementation of catchment management and environmental management plans
Ensure WRUA linkages and support.
Promote continuous involvement of the government line ministries and community leaders in sector work at task execution levels.
Promptly preparing and submitting progress reports.
Any other duties that may be given by the supervisor.

Job Description

The position will report to the Programs Director. The project's goal is 'Assuring the essential of optimal development of infants and young children affected by HIV and Aids'.
Working closely with the ECD Specialist, the Grants Coordinator, affiliated COs, and other stakeholders on the ground, the Program Manager will be responsible for the following:
Lead and coordinate the development of Detailed Implementation Plans (DIP) and oversee implementation of the project activities in line with the approved plans
Ensure plans are implemented according to approved budget and donor guidelines, and that Child Fund procedures and policies are adhered to at all times.
Regularly monitor and evaluate project activities and use the information to improve project quality and implementation; and to pro-actively identify risks related to contract compliance and prescribe, implement and manage corrective action.
Timely preparation and submission of quality progress reports that meet the organizations/donor requirements, as stipulated in the contract.
Maintain accurate project records.
Maintain staff technical proficiency and productivity.
Document lessons learnt and best practices for experience sharing and replication.
Ensure project staff adheres to the organisation's programming principles, procurement, administrative and financial policies.
Required Skills
A Bachelors degree level qualification in Development studies or Social Sciences from a reputable University,
